Get Involved with Homes for Haringey

At Homes for Haringey we positively encourage and welcome the involvement of residents in the governance of our organisation. Residents help to bring a diverse range of thinking and a customer perspective that enriches discussions and ultimately leads to better informed decisions and better services.

We are currently looking for residents who have the time and willingness to get involved with Homes for Haringey in three key areas.

1. Tenant Board Members

We have two vacancies for tenants to join our Board of management. As a Board member you will have a very important role in providing effective leadership of Homes for Haringey. This includes monitoring performance, agreeing objectives and monitoring plans that improve services to residents. You will bring independent judgement to bear on discussions and ensure that the impact on residents is considered in the decision making process.

2. Resident Scrutiny Panel - Tenant Members

We have three vacancies for tenants to join our Resident Scrutiny Panel. The panel is resident led and carries out a very important role in independently testing and scrutinising services to residents and making recommendations for service improvement.

As a panel member, your role will include carrying out “mystery shopping”, reviewing information, visiting estates and offices and interviewing residents and officers.

3. Complaints Appeal Panel

We are setting up a new panel to hear appeals against complaints made to Homes for Haringey. We welcome the involvement of tenants and leaseholders on this panel to help settle disputes relating to complaints.

If you are interested in any of these opportunities, would like an information and application pack or would like to discuss them with someone, you can email us at Governance.Team@HomesforHaringey.org or talk to your local resident engagement officer who can help.
