Equans donates Christmas gifts to children on estates
Equans has raised an early Christmas cheer for some of the youngest residents in Haringey this festive season. The contractor has donated £3,000 to purchase Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in council homes managed by Homes for Haringey. Some of the gifts will go to children centres.
The money was raised by staff at Equans (the new name for ENGIE) and their supply chain who work on major works projects for Homes for Haringey.
Homes for Haringey’s Director of Asset Management, Kurtis Lee said: “This is fantastic news and a big thank you to Equans and your supply chain for this generous donation. The donation will be appreciated by our residents.”
As well as going to young residents on estates, some of the donations will be included in packs sent out by Homes for Haringey’s Community Foodbox to vulnerable residents who need support with food and other domestic supplies.
The donation was coordinated by Equans Resident Liaison Manager, Olivia McRoe.
She said, “It’s an absolute pleasure from our end and we will make the necessary arrangements to deliver the donation.”
