Easy ways to recycle Christmas trees
Christmas trees are a great focal point in the home during the festive season. And while it's easy for the artificial to be packed up and stored until next year, there is always the question of what to do with real Christmas trees once the tinsel is taken down and the baubles cleared away.
This year, once Christmas is over, we have made it easy for residents to recycle a Christmas tree in Haringey. We will use bark shavings in parks, gardens and green areas across the borough.
Green bin collection
If you live in a kerbside property, cut your tree into smaller pieces (maximum length 1 metre or 3 feet) and put it out for collection.
The Reuse and Recycling Centre on Western Road in Wood Green
Christmas trees can also be taken to Haringey's Reuse and Recycling Centre in Wood Green - Western Road, N22 6UG Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 4pm (Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.)
