Help with your finances

We help residents to improve their financial situations, enabling them to fulfil their potential and play a greater part in their community and wider society. We provide access to affordable financial advice and digital services, and help our residents build the skills and confidence to use them.

  • Saving and borrowing - create a saving plan and the best ways to borrow
  • Savvy shopping - when is a deal is really a deal and snapping up real bargains

The Financial Inclusion team provides:

  • Money Matters workshops - helping residents to make the best use of their resources.
  • Partnerships with other organisations to improve tenant's financial situation, and their access to services including banking, fuel switching and discount service, budgeting, employability, debt advice and management, charities, food bank, etc.

  • One-to-one advice for residents, to help them claim benefits and services they are entitled to.

  • Information on benefit changes - particularly welfare benefits, such as bedroom tax, benefit cap and the introduction of universal credit.

  • Supporting residents in rent arrears to avoid eviction, by making affordable arrangements and accessing relevant benefits/help to assistance.

  • Supporting young people leaving care, as well as supporting pensioners and disabled residents to claim the benefits they are entitled to. We help them to make the best use of their money, and access additional services.

  • Access to Digital Champions.
