About our digital champions network

Our Digital Champions are residents, who have been trained to volunteer their services to help council tenants and leaseholders in Haringey use computers and go online safely and effectively. They are local, and a friendly and trusted face in their community on computer and online issues, and they can:

  • help you learn learning the basics of using a computer or laptop
  • teach you how to go online
  • help you use the internet and other online tools safely
  • support you in using email or online video-messaging tools (such as Skype) to help you keep in touch with family members and friends
  • show how to use the internet to search for a job or how to complete online forms - this will be important if you need to apply for Universal Credit (available in Haringey from March 2016) as you will only be able to apply for it online.
  • Remember - getting help from our Digital Champions is free.
