Campsbourne school will also arrange community events to facilitate consulting with residents and young people over a number of ideas and plans.
Following presentations by Homes for Haringey and Wates, Cabinet Member for Housing Services, Cllr John Bevan said: "This is a an exciting opportunity for housing providers to come together and look at how we can manage joint projects which meet the needs of local residents by pooling resources of both time and money for effective results at no extra costs. We will be addressing issues such as employment and anti social behaviour, as well as looking at how we can utilise community spaces for the benefit of residents of all ages”
Paul Bridge, added; “We have been working in partnership with Wates, Campsbourne school, Circle Anglia, L& Q and Metropolitan Housing Trust to identify how we can further support local residents. This partnership enables us to work together under a joint approach. We are all fully committed to maximising opportunities for local residents and enhancing their prospects. This official signing demonstrates that promise."
Also speaking at the event, Belinda Porich from the National Housing Federation, said: "I am delighted to see this partnership initiative get off the ground, especially given the unprecedented changes currently afoot in the housing sector. It is incredibly important that local authorities and ALMOs develop partnerships with other housing providers so they can work more effectively with tenants living in the properties they own and manage.”
