The outstanding achievements of employees from Homes for Haringey have been celebrated in the housing organisations 2nd annual Staff Awards.
The housing organisation employs 750 staff and carries out repairs and tenancy management services to over 20,000 council properties in Haringey. It is also responsible for delivering a five year £200 million decent homes refurbishment programme across the borough.
Nominated employees working for the two star housing organisation were treated to a three course lunch at the Mosaica restaurant in Wood Green where the awards ceremony was held. Over 50 staff were nominated across the four main categories of Employee, Team and Manager of the Year alongside the Special Achievement award.

Personal Assistant, to the Director of Business Improvement, Dassa Nicolaides beat 16 other candidates for the title of Employee of the Year. She said:
“I am surprised, delighted and honoured to have received the award. I have been with the Council and Homes for Haringey for 18 years and without doubt the last two years have been both the most challenging and rewarding times for me.
The Homes Ownership team was crowned Team of the Year, Lesley Bott won Manager of the Year and George Georgiou was awarded the Special Achievement Award for a significant improvement in the rent collection performance targets.
“All the staff nominated are deserving winners” said Paul Bridge, chief executive. They have all made a real difference by improving the service we provide to residents and how the organisation performs overall by going that extra mile.”
