Homes for Haringey's Executive Director of Asset Management, Ola Akinfe, has left Homes for Haringey for a new post as Director of Property Services at Newham Homes.

He leaves amid high praise for leading the successful delivery of the first two years of Haringey’s five year £200 million Decent Homes programme. Since the programme started in January 2008, over 3,000 properties have been brought up to the Decent Homes Standard. He will take up the new post at Newham Homes on 26 April.

Ola joined Homes for Haringey as Head of Asset Management in 2006. He said: “Now is the right time for me to move on to a new challenge.  Delivering the decent homes programme has been extremely rewarding. It has been a pleasure working with such committed staff and providing ever improving services to our local tenants at a time of great housing challenge across London. I am looking forward to joining Newham Homes and continuing the success of both their Decent Homes and Modern Homes programme.”

There will be some changes to the organisation’s existing Executive Management team following the merging of the Repairs and Asset Management team into a new Property Services directorate. Paul Munday has been appointed as the interim Property Services Director and will start with the organisation on 26 April.
