Homes for Haringey has appointed Ola Akinfe, Executive Director of Asset Management, to oversee the borough’s five year investment programme and £200m Decent Homes programme.

Ola joined the organisation as Head of Asset Management, in October 2006.

The housing management organisation is currently delivering a five year decent homes improvement programme across the borough on behalf of Haringey Council. The range of works include new kitchens and bathrooms, roofs, front doors, rewiring, double glazing and insulation.

Responsible for programme delivery with Haringey’s four appointed decent homes contractors – Wates, Lovell, Apollo and Mulalley, one of his first priorities will be ensuring the first year target of 1,689 decent homes are delivered on time and to a high standard.

He says: “We are not just refurbishing tenant’s homes but assisting the regeneration of the whole community. We are providing high quality home improvements to our residents with the minimum of disruption and maximum benefit. Since the programme started in April, we have carried out more than 150 refurbishments.”
