Investors in People for Homes for Haringey

Wednesday 11 April 2007

Just one year after its launch, Homes for Haringey is celebrating being awarded Investor in People (IiP) status.

It means the arms length management organisation, responsible for managing over 20,000 council owned homes, has been assessed as an organisation that invests effectively in the development of its people.

The assessor described this as a 'phenomenal’ achievement for an organisation still in its first year and cited people feeling involved in the planning and decision making both for their team and for Homes for Haringey as a whole.

“This is a further proof from an independent external organisation of our commitment to achieving and improving the way we work,” said Homes for Haringey Chair, Mike Jones. “We are consistently looking to develop the highest standards to achieve the best for our staff.”

A further assessment will take place in 2010 to ensure the organisation continues to meet the standard.
