Homes for Haringey knocks on 21,000 doors

Wednesday 4 March 2009

Homes for Haringey staff are getting out of the office meeting tenants and leaseholders face to face in a door knocking exercise to find out their views on service provision.

All 700 staff are being encouraged to take part in the borough-wide survey.

So far, 361 staff members have knocked on 8,992 doors. The ultimate aim is to visit all 21,000 homes managed by Homes for Haringey on behalf of Haringey Council.

Jackie Thomas, Executive Director for Tenancy Management, with a Broadwater Farm resident during Homes for Haringey’s door knocking campaign

Homes for Haringey Chief Executive, Paul Bridge, who was among the first to ‘door-knock’, said: This is an invaluable exercise because it demonstrates to all our residents that we are committed to providing an all-round, first class service.  Residents feedback is important to us, and it will help to shape our future services.  We are learning a great deal from what residents tell us, and we are listening to what they have to say.”
