Homes for Haringey 1st to Wow!

Monday 12 May 2008

Homes for Haringey has become the first housing organisation to sign up to the national customer service award scheme, the WOW! Awards.

This 'compliment' scheme provides members of the public the opportunity to nominate a team or member of staff for providing an excellent service.

The two star organisation provides repairs and maintenance as well as tenancy and leasehold management services, to over 20,000 council properties in Haringey. A significant number of its 750 employees have daily face-to-face contact with local residents and customers.

Before officially signing up to the scheme last month, Homes for Haringey received almost 50 nominations from happy customers. Mike Jones, chair of the board, said:  "Compliments are just as important as complaints in measuring our services to residents. We welcome compliments as we are constantly striving to wow our customers."

Anyone wishing to nominate can pick up a WOW! form from libraries,Customer Services Centres, concierge suites and you can also nominate online. All exceptional nominations are referred to the national WOW! organisation who make special awards to those they approve.
