Gwyn Davies joins Homes for Haringey's Repairs Service

Homes for Haringey has appointed the former long serving Business Services Coordinator for building maintenance at Camden Council, Gwyn Davies, as its new Deputy Director of Repairs.
Gwyn started at Homes for Haringey last month after spending 27 years at Camden Council, including a stint as interim Head of Building Maintenance from 2006-2008. He said: “I am excited to join Homes for Haringey and look forward to building on its success and the many challenges ahead.
“There are many ambitious and exciting developments taking place, and I am looking forward to enhancing the repairs service offered to residents.”
At Homes for Haringey, Gwyn will manage the direct labour repairs teams based in Lordship Lane (N22) and Ashley Road (N17) depots. The team carries out about 60,000 general repairs every year.

The married father of two, lives in Enfield, and started his career as an engineering buyer, working for a London based company Matthew Hall organising fire protection systems for oil rigs.
Homes for Haringey’s in-house repairs team employs over 250 staff including approximately 200 operatives. Almost 50, who are now fully qualified, started their careers as Haringey apprentices.
Bob Watts, Executive Director of Repairs added: “I’m delighted that Gwyn has joined the repairs team at Homes for Haringey. I am confident that his experience will be an asset in improving the repairs service provided to residents.”
Gwyn’s main interests outside work and family are rugby related, he is looking forward to following the Wales rugby world cup team in 2011.
