Are you interested in helping to improve housing conditions in Haringey?
Homes for Haringey, the two star organisation owned by Haringey Council, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join its Board as an independent Board member.
The organisation provides housing management, repairs and maintenance services to over 20,000 council properties in Haringey. It is responsible for delivering the £200 million decent homes refurbishment programme which started last month.
This position is voluntary and will require about one evening a month of your time. The successful candidate will receive full training and join four other independent members, six local residents and five council nominees that sit on the Board.
If you are interested in contributing your experience, please submit an application by May 20th to be in with a chance.
Mike Jones, Chair of the Board said: “With the start of the £200 million decent homes programme, this is a particularly exciting time for Board members, local residents and staff. We need an independent member committed to influencing and improving the quality of life for Haringey’s tenants and leaseholders.”

Notes to Editors
Board members are required to attend approximately one evening Board or Committee meeting per month. They will be required to sit on the Board for two years.
Homes for Haringey is the Arms Length Management Organisation managing Haringey Council’s housing stock since April 2006.
It is responsible for:
- Meeting the Decent Home Standard
- Services to approx 21,000 council owned properties: 16,700 tenanted and 4,500 leasehold
- Tenancy and estate management
- Housing management of supported housing
- Rent collection and arrears management
- Repairs and maintenance
- Leasehold management
- Resident involvement
