Aspireview leads the way in Homes for Haringey
Monday 18 January 2010
Services offered by Homes for Haringey are set to operate with improved efficiency as the Aspireview performance management system is extended across the organisation.
Six months ago the organisation which manages and maintains over 21,000 tenanted and leasehold homes, became the first housing management organisation to use the externally hosted software. Provided by SunGard Public Sector, Aspireview uses a red, amber and green system to measure actual performance against target performance across services, teams and individuals. It also links all associated measures, actions and risks. Managers can check progress as frequently as required and take any necessary action to ensure targets are met.
In addition to managing key performance indicators, corporate risk and action plans, it will also help with preparation for short notice and planned inspections. The voids team – responsible for repairing empty council homes – was the first to use the system to monitor performance. Other early adopters include the repairs control centre.
Jeremy Broomes, Control Centre Team Leader, described Aspireview as effective in setting ‘specific smart measurements,’ adding: “The Red, Amber and Green indicators give an instant colour coded view of performance. There is also the ability to investigate which aspects of performance need improving, giving line managers a better opportunity to immediately target underperforming areas.”
Phil Bennett, Senior Project Manager, at Homes for Haringey, added: “Aspireview alerts us to under performance early at all levels from individuals to organisational. This information gives us an opportunity to remedy the situation before it has an adverse effect on services to residents. It will be introduced to all parts of the organisation by August this year.”
