Barriers to getting involved
We understand that sometimes you might want to get involved but can't.This might be for a number of reasons such as:
- You can't attend meetings because you are caring for someone
- You just don't like formal meetings
- You don't have the confidence to set up a residents' group in your area
How we can help
We offer many different ways to get involved so hopefully there is something to suit everyone, not just formal meetings.
If you want to set up a Residents' Association we will give you support and guidance to get started. We can also help you get funding and provide training to improve your skills and confidence.
We may also be able to help arrange transport to meetings or carers costs so that you can attend meetings.
Whatever is holding you back from getting involved, talk to the Resident Involvement team and they may be able to help.
